Woman bitten by wild boar at Mount Parker in Quarry Bay

19th January 2022 – (Hong Kong) At around 1pm today, a woman named Leung and her 5-year-old daughter set off from Mount Parker Road, Quarry Bay, to hike at Tai Tam Country Park. When the woman and her daughter walked to the mountainside near the barbecue site, they sat down to rest and took out food to eat. A number of wild boars of different sizes suddenly rushed towards the two. Leung was caught off guard and she was bitten by a wild boar on her buttocks. She felt pain immediately, and ran away with her daughter and called the police for help. Later, Leung was taken to Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital by ambulance for treatment.
