3rd October 2026 – (Hong Kong) Hong Kong’s Secretary for Housing Winnie Ho Wing‑yin said this morning that 90.6 per cent of Wang Fuk Court owners have now signed sale and purchase agreements under the Special Sales Exercise launched on Tuesday, 29th September. She noted that most affected residents hope to move quickly, making already‑completed or near‑ready options in Kowloon Bay and the Hong Kong Housing Society’s Lok Ling Hin in Fanling the most sought after, while some owners have opted to top up for units in Kai Tak.
Ho said roughly 100 owners have been invited to choose flats over the first three days, with about 30‑plus households scheduled daily. The arrangement is designed to allow ample time for elderly residents and families to discuss choices on site, supported throughout by a dedicated guidance team. Around seven tenths of the available homes are priced below HK$4 million, offering flexibility for different budgets.
She reminded participants that contracts must be signed by 15th October. Cases not completed by then will be treated in line with the 13 households that did not sign acceptance letters for the buyout proposal, which may require legislative handling. The Housing Bureau will exercise discretion where owners face special circumstances.
