2nd July 2026 – (Hong Kong) Water World Ocean Park will stage a two‑month summer celebration from 4th July to 31st August 2026, transforming the park into an 80s‑inspired playground of music, water sports and retro‑themed attractions.

At the heart of the programme is “CANTON BEATS”, billed as the park’s largest Cantopop DJ party to date. The evening event will run on 4th, 5th, 11th, 12th, 18th, 19th, 25th and 26th July, as well as 1st, 2nd, 8th, 9th, 15th, 16th, 23rd, 29th and 30th August. Held from 6.30pm to 9.30pm on selected weekends, the after‑dark parties will feature remixed Cantopop classics and high‑energy sets from resident and guest DJs. The line‑up includes South Korea’s DJ SURA, Malaysian star DJ AMBER NA, viral performer DJ KIXON and DJ SUNB, known for appearances at major Asian music festivals.

A separate highlight, “HOT! ASIA IDOL SPLASH”, is scheduled for 22nd August from 6.00pm to 9.30pm, bringing together leading Asian idol groups for live performances, DJ sessions and meet‑and‑greet opportunities.

During the day, visitors can explore immersive 1980s‑style installations across the park, including themed photo spots, neon light displays and interactive art corners. A giant gacha machine in the Reef Lobby and a retro “bing teng” café backdrop aim to evoke nostalgic Hong Kong street culture, while an online three‑panel photo booth allows guests to share their experiences instantly. As evening falls, the venue will transition into a lively party atmosphere, with extended opening hours until 10.00pm.

Fitness and water‑based activities form another pillar of the programme. Aqua SUP Yoga sessions will take place at Big Wave Bay every Saturday and Sunday at 5.30pm and 6.30pm, led by professional instructors. Team competitions such as water volleyball, basketball and a new Water Roller challenge will also be staged, alongside large‑scale interactive games hosted by on‑site presenters. Surf coaches will conduct skill‑based challenges, and guided aquatic stretching sessions will help guests prepare before entering Horizon Cove.

For those seeking a social twist, the “Gacha a Friend” gathering will be held each Saturday at Horizon Cove, offering participants the chance to meet new companions through a themed lucky‑draw activity. On Sundays, the park’s Splash Ambassadors will host photo challenges with small prizes at designated areas.

Food and beverage offerings will reflect the retro theme, with the 80s‑styled Poolside Bar serving drinks beside Horizon Cove, providing a relaxed setting for guests to enjoy the music.

Promotional offers are also available throughout the summer. Until 31st August 2026, Ocean Park Premium and Gold Annual Members can receive 50 per cent off weekday Summer Splash tickets and 30 per cent off all‑day tickets, valid for entry until 6th September 2026, with up to four discounted admissions per member. In addition, visitors aged 60 or above may purchase weekday tickets for HK$2 under an extended concession scheme running until 31st August, also valid through 6th September 2026.

Ahead of the launch, Splash Ambassadors will stage a flash mob on 5th July 2026 at several city locations, including Mong Kok, Tsim Sha Tsui and Causeway Bay, distributing limited‑edition souvenirs and promotional tickets.

Organisers say the initiative is designed to deliver a “day‑to‑night” summer experience, combining live entertainment, themed décor and aquatic adventure in one of Hong Kong’s largest outdoor water attractions. Tickets are now on sale through official channels.
