7th December 2022 – (Hong Kong) At around midnight today (7th), the uniformed patrol team of the Tsuen Wan Police District spotted a man acting suspiciously while patrolling Tsuen Wing Street, and stopped him for investigation. The police found that the 27-year-old Pakistani man holding a Hong Kong identity card was wanted because he failed to comply with the court order. He then pushed a male policeman away and fled. He was finally intercepted on Tsuen Kwai Street. However, he punched another male policeman present. The police finally worked together to subdue the suspect.
After investigation, he was arrested and detained for investigation on suspicion of “assaulting the police” and “resisting arrest”. The case was handed over to the Criminal Investigation Team of the Tsuen Wan Police District for follow-up. The two male police officers who were attacked suffered injuries to their hands and were sent to Yan Chai Hospital for treatment.
