Tai Tun Shan trail is located in Sai Kung West Country Park, you can either go to the starting point at the Pak Tam Chung car park, easily reached by bus or taxi from Sai Kung village. From Sai Kung, you can take minibus no.9 or Bus no. 94 to Pak Tam Chung. The journey should take around 20 minutes.
Alternatively, you can go towards the BBQ area before you reach a public toilet. Follow the concrete trail next to the toilet towards Tsak Yue Wu. Continue for around 10 minutes and turn into Tai Mong Tsai Road. Continue on the trail before you see the Tsam Chuk Wan sign. Keep walking on the trail until you reach a small trail on the left.

Keep an eye on a small trail hidden between Pak Tam Chung and Tsam Chuk Wan. Go in between the signs to reach towards Tai Tun Shan. At 317m, it’s a fairly steep climb to Tai Tun although it’s merely 800 metres to reach the top, so some sites will rate this a moderately challenging hike.
To return, use the same trail to go back to Pak Tam Chung and you can take public transport from there.
