Virtual event on 11th April to connect with the Canadian community in HK to show solidarity in fighting the virus

7th April 2020 – (Hong Kong) A few Canadians living in Hong Kong have joined hands to organise an hour-long family friendly online event ‘Canadians #StrongerTogether’ to connect, share stories and workout together in a virtual meeting to show solidarity in fighting the virus. Mr. Jeff Nankivell, Consulate General of Canada in Hong Kong and Macao will kick off this online gathering; followed by a warm welcome from friends across Canada, sharing light hearted stories, then a “virtual group photo”. For the highlight of this event, they will have Utah Lee, Nike Training Master, to lead participants through a 20-minute energetic and heart-pumping workout session.

To attend this event, you can find more information on our Facebook group: Canadians Stronger Together. Also, they will be broadcasting this live on various Facebook groups, including SFU Alumni Hong Kong, Canadians Expat in Hong Kong, Canadian Club, CPA Canada Hong Kong Chapter etc. It is a critical time and everyone needs to do his/her part by staying at home, taking care of themselves and practising social distancing.

This event is organized by the Simon Fraser University Alumni Representatives in Hong Kong, and sponsored and supported by various Canadian University Alumni groups, Canadian professional bodies and social groups.

Join the free virtual event on Saturday, April 11th, at 9:20am HKT to connect with the Canadian community in Hong Kong and others in Canada. Everyone is welcome to join.
