Violent altercation erupts between two employees at elderly care home at Choi Ha Estate before being arrested

26th March 2023 – (Hong Kong) In a shocking incident at an elderly care home at Choi Ha Estate in Ngau Tau Kok, two employees engaged in a violent altercation resulting in injuries and arrests. The incident occurred at around 6.34pm.

According to reports, the two employees, a male and a female, had a longstanding animosity towards each other. The argument between them allegedly began in the kitchen and quickly escalated into a physical altercation.

During the altercation, the 54-year-old male employee, surnamed Wong, was allegedly attacked with a thermos filled with hot water while the 49-year-old female employee, surnamed Lee, was slapped and knocked to the ground. Wong is accused of inflicting damage on the female employee’s thermos and further engaging in physical assault.

After the fight subsided, both parties reported sustaining injuries and were promptly transported to the hospital for medical attention. The nature and extent of their injuries have not yet been disclosed.

Following the incident, police were summoned to the scene to investigate the altercation. After a thorough investigation, Wong was arrested on charges of “common assault” and “criminal damage.” Lee, on the other hand, is facing charges of “assault causing actual bodily harm.”
