9th August 2026 – (St Paul) A United States-based clothing firm, HercLeon, has announced the release of the HercShirt V5.0, a T-shirt engineered to stay fresh and odourless even when worn daily for an entire month without washing. The company, previously known for its self-cleaning underwear, has attracted considerable attention following the fifth generation launch of this innovative garment.
The HercShirt V5.0 incorporates seven special components, including copper, silver, zinc, gold, volcanic ash, and two undisclosed substances, all woven into the fabric itself rather than being merely applied to the surface. Each element serves a specific function: copper helps to inhibit bacteria responsible for unpleasant smells, zinc neutralises sulphur compounds generated by heavy perspiration, and volcanic ash absorbs excess moisture and external odours in a manner similar to a porous sponge.
According to information provided by HercLeon, this unique construction allows the shirt to remain fresh for up to 30 days of continuous use, even during intense summer conditions. The company claims the HercShirt is significantly longer-lasting than ordinary T-shirts precisely because it requires infrequent washing.
Initial sales of the HercShirt V5.0 will begin in black, with additional colours, including navy blue, burgundy and dark green, expected to be introduced next year. Shipments are scheduled for early November. For those seeking other options, HercLeon also offers a budget version for US$39, which remains fresh for up to three days, and a standard edition capable of going up to 14 days without washing. The flagship shirt will retail at US$79.
