Uprooted tree crushes 4 vehicles in open-air parking lot in Chai Wan

10th August 2022 – (Hong Kong) AS Tropical strom “Mulan” approaches Hong Kong, a large tree in Chai Wan collapsed and destroyed the car. At 2am today, a 15m high tree was uprooted and collapsed in an open-air parking lot on Sheung Tat Street in Chai Wan. It then crushed the roofs of 4 cars in the car park including a 7-seater vehicle and an anti-epidemic minibus. Another 2 minibuses were scratched by tree branches on the roof and body.

After the firefighters arrived at the scene to understand, they determined that there was no immediate danger, and left the parking lot staff to deal with the aftermath and contact the affected vehicle owners.
