Unlicensed bar in Cheung Sha Wan raided, 29 people arrested


23rd May 2020 – (Hong Kong) After the Police Organised Crime and Triad Investigation Bureau conducted a detailed investigation, police raided an unlicensed bar at 333, Castle Peak Road, Cheung Sha Wan at early morning today. During the search, the officers found a batch of suspected ketamine and cocaine in the unit, and seized a batch of alcoholic beverages. 20 males and 9 females in the unit, aged between 15 and 60 years old, were arrested on suspicion of “unlicensed sale of alcoholic beverages”, violation of the “Prevention and Control of Disease (Prohibition of Group Gathering) Regulations” (Cap 599G) and drug-related offences, etc.

According to sources, the bar was owned by triads.
