30th May 2023 – (Hong Kong) At 8.36am today, a tree is suspected to have collapsed on Tai Hang Road near Wang Fung Terrace in Happy Valley, blocking both lanes of the road. No one was injured in the incident, and firefighters were called to the scene to remove the fallen tree. During the removal process, both lanes of Tai Hang Road were closed.
Around the same time, another tree fell along an unnamed road in Tan Kwai Tsuen, Yuen Long, crushing a private car parked nearby. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported in this incident as well. Personnel are currently on site to clean up the area and assist the car owner. The cause of the tree collapse is still under investigation.
