Two taxis collide on Lantau Link, two drivers and passenger injured

25th May 2024 – (Hong Kong) Last night around 10pm, two taxis were travelling in the direction of the airport along Lantau Link’s Tsing Ma Bridge. When approaching the vicinity of the Tsing Sha Highway Administration Building in Tsing Yi, the two vehicles reportedly collided, with one of the taxis flipping onto its side. According to eyewitnesses, two taxi drivers and a passenger were injured in the incident and required ambulance transportation to receive medical treatment.

The fire department responded to the rescue call. As a result of the accident, certain lanes at the scene were temporarily closed, causing heavy traffic congestion in the area. Preliminary investigations suggest the possibility of an oil spill on the road surface as a contributing factor, although the exact cause of the accident remains under further investigation.
