17th March 2023 – (Hong Kong) At 12.22am today, a KMB bus no. 1A from Sau Mau Ping to Tsim Sha Tsui Ferry Terminal was travelling along Nathan Road towards Tsim Sha Tsui. When passing the traffic lights at Mong Kok Road, it collided with a taxi that had cut out from the slow lane. The KMB bus sustained minor damage to its left front end while the taxi fled the scene. No passengers on the bus were injured, but the 39-year-old male driver, surnamed Wong, reported pain in his knee and required hospitalisation. Police officers are currently investigating the incident and tracking down the whereabouts of the taxi driver.

11 minutes later, a New World First Bus no. 112 from So Uk to North Point was travelling on the fast lane of Nathan Road towards Tsim Sha Tsui. As it passed by the KMB bus involved in the previous incident, a seven-seater car following closely behind collided with the left rear end of the New World First Bus, possibly due to a sudden brake. Fortunately, no one on either vehicle was injured. As a result of the two incidents, the middle and fast lanes of Nathan Road were temporarily blocked.
