10th October 2019 – (Hong Kong) MTR Corp announced at 6.09am today that all MTR Stations except Tseung Kwan O Station will be open to public.
Due to serious vandalism, some damaged facilities such as lifts and escalators are still under repair. After conducting a review on the progress of repair works and also a joint risk assessment with the Police and other relevant government departments, train services on all MTR Lines (except Airport Express), Light Rail and MTR Bus will end at 9pm today.
Free MTR shuttle bus service is operating between Tseung Kwan O and Tiu Keng Leng stations. Crowd management measures may have to be implemented in some stations and train service may be adjusted. These measures could include closing station entrances/exits, trains not stopping at certain stations or station closures. Barrier free facilities at stations may not be available for use due to serious damages. Please contact the station to check their status in advance.
Light Rail Route 705, 614, 615 and 751P suspended. Light Rail Route 706 and 751 will be diverted at Tin Shui Wai area; Route 751 will not stop at Yau Oi Stop. Light Rail Route 505, 507, 610, 614P, 615P, 706, 751 and 761P are maintained in 12-16 minutes interval. Light Rail Vehicles will not stop at Yau Oi, Tin Wing, Ginza, Tin Wu, Tin Tsz and Tin Shui Wai stops because of serious vandalism. Light Rail service will be ended at 9pm to allow more time for repair.
