9th June 2023 – (Hong Kong) A truck traveling along Lung Cheung Road towards Kwun Tong lost control and crashed into a pedestrian walkway near Lion Rock Park at approximately 10.07am yesterday. The truck veered off the road and plowed into a slope that was approximately three meters deep, before tumbling down the stairs of the pedestrian walkway. Fortunately, no one was injured in the accident.
According to eyewitnesses, the truck was driving at a high speed and appeared to have lost control before crashing into the slope and the pedestrian walkway. The truck’s head was severely damaged in the accident, and the front part of the vehicle was completely destroyed.
The police and fire department responded to the scene shortly after the accident occurred. The authorities cordoned off the area and diverted traffic to ensure the safety of pedestrians and motorists.
