7th June 2023 – (Hong Kong) At around 5pm on June 7th, a truck traveling along Tuen Mun Road towards Tsuen Wan collided with a private car near Ting Kau Bridge, causing the truck driver to become trapped inside the vehicle. Passersby reported the incident to emergency services, prompting a response from rescue workers.
Upon arrival, rescue workers were able to extract the male truck driver, who was still conscious at the time, and transported him to the hospital for medical examination. The exact cause of the accident is currently under investigation by law enforcement officials.
In the aftermath of the collision, the Transport Department announced the temporary closure of Tuen Mun Road towards Tsuen Wan near Ting Kau Bridge. The fast lane has since been reopened to traffic, but the entire road towards Tsuen Wan remains closed. Drivers are advised to use alternative routes, such as Ting Kau Bridge, to avoid the affected area.
