Train fails at Austin Station on the West Rail Line, services restored later

20th June 2021 – (Hong Kong) MTR said this morning (20th) that due to a train failure at Austin Station on the West Rail Line, engineers were present to move the affected train away from the main traffic lane. It is reported that the faulty train was a train bound for Hung Hom. After arriving at the Austin Station platform, it stopped and could not run until about 7.51am in the morning.

The MTR stated that the faulty train had been moved away from the main track of West Rail Line. Services returned to normal after that.
