Top 5 local rice bowl dish under HK$80 in Hong Kong

- 4 MINS READ

11th March 2019 (Hong Kong) Japanese Donburi meals consisting of fish, meat, vegetables or other ingredients simmered together and served over rice have been popular for a while and in Hong Kong, it is also common to find restaurants serving healthy Poke bowls. Poke means “to slice or cut” in Hawaiian and refers to chunks of raw, marinated fish which is then tossed over rice and topped with quinoa, vegetables and sauce.

Lately, the local Chinese restaurants have come up with their own version of single rice bowl topped with different meat such as chicken, pork and vegetables. Interestingly, sunny-side up egg seems to be an essential element of this comfort food.

We have compiled a list of our Top 5 favourite local rice bowl dish in Hong Kong.

Oozing with flavour, you’ll relish every single bite of these pork and egg dish when they are eaten with rice.
