Three men attempt suicide in separate incidents and one pronounced dead at hospital

At 9pm last night, a 43 year old man jumped off the top of Cheong Sin House, Upper Wong Tai Sin Estate and he was pronounced clinically dead after being sent to Caritas Medical Centre. Police later confirmed that he lived in a unit located on the 8th floor of the apartment. A woman who co-habited with him happened to be out shopping for groceries during the incident. No suicide note was discovered.

In a separate incident at midnight yesterday, a man in his 20s suffering from depression attempted to hurt himself by slashing his hands with a kitchen knife at Kai Tak Garden, Wong Tai Sin. His father managed to restrain him in time and ambulance sent him to hospital after dressing his wounds with bandage.

Another man jumped off Cheung Wo Court apartment at Kwun Tong at around 9am this morning. He sustained severe injuries and went into coma. Ambulance has since arrived and sent him to hospital for emergency treatment. Police are still investigating the cause.
