Thousands gather at HKUST, Sheung Tak Car Park, Kwun Tong and Mong Kok to pay their last respect to the 22-year-old deceased student

Protesters gathered in Mong Kok to pay their last respect to Chow at 6pm.

8th November 2019 – (Hong Kong) Following the death of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) student, Chow this morning, around 1,000 people gathered at the HKUST campus this evening to observe 5-minute silence while at least 300 people laid flowers, candles at the accident scene at Sheung Tak Parking Garage at 7.30pm. Students at The University of Hong Kong and Hong Kong Baptist University also gathered at their campus to conduct memoria services. 25 student groups from various high schools also assembled at Kwun Tong Promenade to show solidarity for arrested students and to pay last respect to deceased. Around 500 students and civilians took part to shout anti-police slogans.

Meanwhile, hundreds also assembled in front of Hollywood Plaza in Mong Kok to pay their last respect for Chow.

Paramedics paid their last respect to a make-shift memorial corner set up for the deceased.
