28th November 2019 – (Hong Kong) At around 7pm today, around 3,000 people gathered at Edinburg Place in Central to thank the United States government for passing the Hong Kong Human Rights and Democracy Act. Many were seen waving the American flags and shouting ‘Stand with Hong Kong, Fight for freedom!’. At 7.45pm, hundreds of protesters also gathered near the Clock Tower in TST while flashing their lit mobile phones.

Pro-democracy activist, Ventus Lau, the organiser of the gathering at Edinburg Place expressed that the successful landslide win secured at the District Council Election does not mean the pro-democracy movement has ended and Hong Kongers have shown their wishes via their votes to demand the government to respond to them. They hope that the U.S. government will punish the traitors of Hong Kong and they have compiled a list including the top officials of the Hong Kong police force, pro-Beijing Legislative Councillors and other government officials to be submitted to the United States Department of State.
