Hong Kong Snooker All-Star Challenge

25th March 2024 – (Hong Kong) The highly-anticipated Hong Kong Snooker All-Star Challenge commenced on Monday, featuring an illustrious lineup including Ronnie O’Sullivan, Judd Trump, and Hong Kong’s own snooker stalwart, Marco Fu Ka-chun. The two-day exhibition, held at the Queen Elizabeth Stadium, showcases six of the sport’s leading figures across a series of matches.

On the opening day, O’Sullivan, often dubbed “The Rocket” for his rapid playing style, faced a narrow defeat with a scoreline of 5-4 against Mark “The Welsh Potting Machine” Williams. The evening session promised a compelling face-off as O’Sullivan was set to cross cues with local hero Fu. The following day, Fu is poised for another challenging encounter against the talented Jack Lisowski.

Despite the star-studded roster, some fans expressed dissatisfaction with the event’s viewing experience, having paid premiums of HK$3,380. Discontent simmered as they engaged in heated discussions with the event organizers over what they claimed were subpar arrangements.
