The Hong Kong International Literary Festival in partnership with Asia Miles kicks off from 1st to 10th November

30th October 2019 – (Hong Kong) The Hong Kong International Literary Festival today announced Asia Miles as title sponsor for the 19th Hong Kong International Literary Festival (HKILF). Under the new arrangement, HKILF 2019 will be rebranded as ‘The Hong Kong International Literary Festival In Partnership with Asia Miles’.

Taking place from 1st –10th November, ‘The Hong Kong International Literary Festival In Partnership with Asia Miles’ will feature events focusing on themes of identity, migration and dystopia across a wide range of mediums including readings, workshops and performance.

Fiona Chung, Festival Director of HKILF, said she is excited about the opportunity to introduce the Festival to Asia Miles’ members. “HKILF and Asia Miles share the same vision of bringing interesting and meaningful experiences to our patrons and members. We are excited about sharing our love of reading with a wider audience from different backgrounds with diverse interests.”

The annual event is the biggest celebration of literature and writing in the city. Every year, well known authors and writers from around the world fly to Hong Kong and join local authors to meet and delight literary enthusiasts.

In keeping with its mission of bringing writers and book lovers together, the HKILF is delighted this year to feature Markus Zusak, author of the international bestseller The Book Thief, Pico Iyer, Jennifer 8. Lee and Booker prize longlist author, John Lanchester.
