12th May 2019 – Do you know how Mother’s Day was created? In 1872, a writer, Julia Ward from the United States proposed to have a day to unite all the women and rally for peace. She held annual Mother’s Day meetings in Boston. Another female activist, Anna Jarvis who campaigned relentless for a national observance of the holiday. She held a memorial for her mother at St Andrew’s Methodist Church in Grafton, West Virginia. By the early 1920s, Hallmark Cards and other companies had started selling Mother’s Day cards and it became an official holiday in US in 1914.
Here’s a short Mothers Day tribute video made by STREAM ENGINE STUDIOS.
The story is about the cycle of life and a little girl’s journey into eventual motherhood. Throughout her life, her mother is always there to offer her support. She cries 3 times in the story (as a baby, as a kid and as a teenager) and every time, the mom’s always there to comfort her. Eventually she grows up, marries and finds her true love. The last scene shows her letting her hair down and becoming a mirror image of her own mother, bringing the story to a full circle.
