The dazzling displays lighting up Hong Kong for Christmas 2023

30th November 2023 – (Hong Kong) Across Hong Kong, glittering lights, festive music, and lavish decor transform malls, parks and promenades into a winter wonderland. From giant Christmas trees to immersive installations, a multitude of stunning yuletide displays awaits residents and visitors this holiday season.

Immerse yourself in a magical winter wonderland this Christmas at Landmark Atrium, where you’ll discover the enchanting Mount Santa Paws. Step into a snow-covered Polar Bear Mountain, where more than 100 animals and festive friends await. Join these adventurous animal companions on a heartwarming journey of friendship and unity as they assist Emma in capturing the Christmas Wishing Star. Prepare yourself for 12 thrilling adventures, including the Alpine Adventure Ski Lift, Snowy Sled Slide, VR skiing at Timmy’s Ski Adventure, and the exciting Snowball Smash.

What’s even more special is that all proceeds from the installation ticketing, festive merchandise sales, and Christmas charity booths will be donated to four designated Hong Kong charities: Changing Young Lives Foundation, Mindset, We R Family Foundation, and Make-A-Wish Hong Kong. By participating in this joyful experience, you’ll not only create cherished memories but also contribute to these wonderful causes.

At West Kowloon Art Park, Hong Kong WinterFest returns with a towering 20-meter illuminated Christmas tree adorned with over 10,000 glitter balls. Nearby, a Christmas market with 25 booths, live music and pet activities runs for 10 days. The event also features tree light sculptures, holiday huts and surprise Santa appearances. West Kowloon Art Park

The Elements mall unveils ‘Merry Dreamscape: The Gifting Magic’ starring an eight-meter Christmas tree and magical box installation. On the hour, an animated show with Santa and elves entertains shoppers, who can also explore a mirror room inside the box. Selected days will see dance performances by local groups. A gift-giving initiative with a charity underscores the holiday spirit.

Out in Tung Chung, Citygate Outlets transports visitors to Smurfs Village to celebrate the iconic cartoon’s 65th anniversary. Highlights include photo areas like a four-meter Smurf Santa, Christmas tree and mushroom house. An interactive game, e-challenges and character meet-and-greets bring the fun. Themed meals and gifts add to the excitement.

Citygate Outlets

No Christmas is complete without Disney magic. At Hong Kong Disneyland, guests can meet Santa Goofy amidst snowfall and concerts. The new holiday spectacular “Disney Christmas Live in Concert” blends classic carols with Disney hits. From critters to aliens, Harbour City mall’s “Merry Spacemas” turns shoppers into space rangers with glow-in-the-dark rocket ships, trees and selfie spots.

Over in Admiralty, Pacific Place and Starstreet Precinct unveil “A Fairytale Christmas” with glowing floral installations, illuminated mushrooms and a Santa’s conservatory. Family craft workshops and live music enhance the enchantment. Landmark Atrium’s “Gift of Each Other” features a Polar Bear Mountain with 100 festive animals in a heartwarming winter tale. Pacific Place

Renowned light artist Rupert Newman teams up with Sino Group properties across Hong Kong for the inaugural digital projection show “In-Between the Sky: A Festive Beacon.” Accompanying installations and music add multi-sensory flair. Social media competitions encourage public participation.

To commemorate Disney’s centennial anniversary, a collection of 100 distinct Be@rbrick figurines with a Disney theme will be exhibited at the mall from 24th November, 2023, to 1st January, 2024. The display will feature beloved characters from various franchises, including Mickey and Friends, Disney Princesses, Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars. Among these figurines, 53 will boast new designs that showcase Disney princesses and notorious villains, stealing the limelight. Additionally, more than 10 figurines will be dressed in Christmas attire, featuring popular characters like Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Sulley, and others.

All the showcased figurines will be available for purchase, with all proceeds (after deducting costs) being donated to the Hong Kong Blood Cancer Foundation. Make sure to keep an eye out for the highly anticipated special release of the 100% Be@rbrick Olaf, as well as the Be@rbrick Gingerbread Mickey available in 100%, 400%, and 1000% sizes.
