1st October 2023 – (Hong Kong) On Sunday, American automaker Tesla launched an updated version of its popular Model Y in China, featuring subtle modifications to both the vehicle’s exterior and interior.
According to an announcement made on Tesla’s official WeChat account, one of the notable changes is the introduction of a fresh wheel design. However, the starting price for the Model Y remains unchanged at 263,900 yuan ($36,146), maintaining its affordability for Chinese customers.
Tesla continues to expand its presence in the Chinese market, with the Model Y being one of its best-selling models globally. The company’s decision to release an updated version demonstrates its commitment to meeting the evolving preferences and demands of Chinese consumers.
The automaker had previously unveiled a restyled Model 3, which boasted an extended driving range, at its manufacturing facility in Shanghai. This updated version of the Model 3 was intended for both the domestic Chinese market and export markets worldwide.
