Taxi falls into nullah at Shek Lau Po village in Tung Chung, 2 injuries reported

26th May 2022 – (Hong Kong) At about 9pm today (26th), a taxi carrying a passenger was passing through a bridge near the entrance of the village at Shek Lau Po in Tung Chung. The taxi lost control and fell into a nullah. The taxi driver and the passenger were injured and trapped. A passerby called the police when he saw the accident. Rescuers arrived and immediately rescued the trapped taxi driver and passenger. The middle-aged driver reported lower back pain and the passenger suffered hand injuries. Fortunately, the injuries were minor and they were all sent to Princess Margaret Hospital for treatment. Police cordoned off the scene and are investigating the cause of the accident.
