Taxi collides with Lamborghini sports car in traffic accident in Tsuen Wan, 7 injuries reported

2nd October 2023 – (Hong Kong) At around 4pm, a taxi driver made a risky manoeuvre cutting into the fast lane of Tai Chung Road near Sha Tsui Road. At that moment, a Lamborghini sports car approached and seemingly failed to react in time, resulting in a powerful collision with the taxi. The impact caused the taxi to lose control and crash into the central stone barrier before flipping over three times. The out-of-control Lamborghini then struck another taxi, pushing it forward and subsequently affecting a seven-passenger vehicle, leading to multiple individuals seeking assistance.

Among those involved in the accident, the 38-year-old male driver of the sports car, two taxi drivers aged 54 and 65, two male and one female passengers in the taxi (aged between 32 and 40), and a three-month-old baby they were carrying, sustained injuries. Emergency ambulances promptly transported all injured individuals to hospitals for medical treatment. Additionally, a 4-year-old girl who was a passenger in one of the taxis experienced pure shock but was also taken to the hospital for a precautionary examination. Law enforcement officials are currently investigating the cause of the accident.
