4th April 2025 – (Hong Kong) Tmomo Shopping Mall, an emerging player in Hong Kong’s retail landscape, is set to open its flagship store on Johnston Road in Wan Chai next Tuesday, 8th April. This new establishment, spanning 14,000 square feet across four storeys, marks the brand’s 13th outlet since its inception in 2022. The company has been strategically expanding despite a challenging market, following its recent entry into Tsuen Wan earlier this year.
The Wan Chai flagship will introduce a range of furniture products, including tables, chairs, sofas, and shoe cabinets, making it the first physical location for Taobao’s furniture venture in Hong Kong, which launched in February. Notably, the store will feature a two-seater sofa priced at just HK$799, stirring anticipation for a competitive response in the local furniture sector. According to the company’s representatives, pricing will be consistently lower than that of competitors, with promises to offer further affordability compared to Shenzhen prices.
The new store, located at 141-147 Johnston Road, is ideally positioned just a minute’s stroll from the MTR Wan Chai station, making it easily accessible for shoppers. The founders of Tmomo Shopping Mall have expressed intentions to roll out customised furniture solutions soon, with the goal of increasing their presence in the home furnishings market. As the company persistently innovates and adapts to consumer needs, it establishes itself as a strong competitor in Hong Kong’s retail landscape, even going head-to-head with Taobao.
