T3 strong wind signal hoisted at 8.40pm in Hong Kong


31st July 2020 – (Hong Kong) The Strong Wind Signal, No. 3, was issued at 8.40pm. This means that winds with mean speeds of 41 to 62 kilometres per hour are expected. The public has been reminded to make sure objects likely to be blown away are securely fastened or taken indoors. Stay away from the shoreline and not to engage in water sports.

At 8 p.m., the tropical depression gathered about 570 kilometres south of Macau, generally toward Hainan Island. As the wind on the bridge occasionally reaches strong winds and gusts, the authorities urge motorists to pay attention to driving safety.
