Sybil had not made any public appearances in recent months, and rumours about her condition had begun circulating online in August. The confirmation of her death in late August was announced by her partner on social media, resulting in an outpouring of tributes from the online community and many reflecting on her previous work, expressing their sorrow at her sudden departure.
Sybil’s partner, Ah Chung, shared the difficult news after some time for reflection, stating that Sybil passed away in the latter part of August and has now “become a little angel.” Details of her funeral have not been made public, but a memorial for Sybil is scheduled for 4th October, a Sunday, with the time and venue yet to be determined.
