Suitcase containing HK$500,000 in cash and 3 expensive watches placed in front of Nike Factory store in Paradise Mall stolen

27th November 2022 – (Hong Kong) A bizarre theft occurred in Heng Fa Chuen yesterday afternoon (26th). At about 1pm yesterday, the police received a report from a 35-year-old man surnamed Lee, saying that after exchanging a large amount of cash at a money changer, he went shopping at the Nike Factory store in Paradise Mall on Shing Tai Road, Chai Wan.

He left a suitcase containing HK$500,000 in cash and three expensive watches (2 Rolex watches and 1 Omega watch) at the store front. Soon after, the suitcase was stolen. The police are now looking for a foreign woman who is suspected to be related to the case. The police arrived at the scene to investigate and checked the CCTV footage, and found that a foreign woman in 30s who is about 1.6m tall stole the suitcase. The informant reported that in the suitcase were about 420,000 Hong Kong dollars in cash, about 85,000 Hong Kong dollars worth of euros, and three expensive watches, namely two Rolexes and an Omega (Omega), with a total value of about HK$200,000.
