9th December 2023 – (Beijing) In a recent announcement made by the State Council, several significant changes in key positions were revealed on Saturday.
Miao Deyu has been appointed as the assistant minister of foreign affairs, bringing his wealth of experience and expertise to contribute to China’s diplomatic efforts.
Zhu Hexin takes on the role of deputy governor of the People’s Bank of China and head of the State Administration of Foreign Exchange. With his extensive knowledge of financial matters, he is expected to provide valuable leadership in managing China’s foreign exchange reserves.
Hu Jinglin assumes the position of director of the State Taxation Administration, succeeding Wang Jun. Notably, Hu Jinglin will step down from his previous role as head of the National Healthcare Security Administration.
Yang Weiqun has been designated as the vice chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency, while Zhao Rui takes on the responsibility of vice president at the esteemed Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.
Furthermore, Yao Li has been appointed as the deputy head of the National Administration of State Secrets Protection, further reinforcing the nation’s commitment to safeguarding sensitive information.
Pan Gongsheng has been relieved of his duties as head of the State Administration of Foreign Exchange, representing a change in leadership within the organisation.
