30th October 2023 – (Hong Kong) Stanley Plaza, a renowned shopping destination, is bringing back its highly anticipated Christmas Market with a unique twist. This year, visitors will have the opportunity to celebrate a hot and spicy midsummer Christmas by the seaside at the inaugural “Chillmas by the Sea” event. Inspired by the traditions of an Australian Christmas, this extraordinary market promises to be a memorable experience for all.
The festivities will kick off on 9th December and continue for three consecutive weekends, including Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays, offering a total of eight days filled with festive cheer along the picturesque seaside of Stanley. Supported by the Consulate General of Australia in Hong Kong and Macau, Tourism Australia, and various Australian tourism boards, the market aims to capture the essence of an Australian Christmas.
Visitors can expect to indulge in a wide array of delights at the Christmas Market, with over 150 speciality stalls showcasing popular brands, Christmas-themed merchandise, artisanal crafts, tantalizing cuisine, and an impressive selection of Australian Christmas gifts. The atmospheric Atrium within Stanley Plaza will host a themed handicraft market, featuring unique products that serve as perfect holiday souvenirs. To ensure convenient access to the event venue, Stanley Plaza has arranged complimentary shuttle buses between Admiralty and Shau Kei Wan, as well as shuttle vessels connecting to Aberdeen Pier.
