20th September 2021 – (Hong Kong) The sailing date of Spectrum of the Seas by Royal Caribbean International has been continuously postponed. The cruise that had resumed service at the end of July has been postponed twice to August and October for its voyage.
A statement was posted on “Hong Kong Cruise Club” Facebook page today (20th) that the Spectrum of the Seas announced postponement of its voyage again only two weeks ahead. The three voyages originally scheduled for 5th, 8th and 10th October will be cancelled and postponed till 14th October.
The “Hong Kong Cruise Club” pointed out that this is the third postponement by Royal Caribbean International and the affected passengers will receive notices and compensation plans from today onwards. There was no announcement on the Facebook page of Royal Caribbean International.
In reply to guests’ enquiries, Royal Caribbean International revealed that the resumption date for voyage was postponed because the government recently implemented new and longer quarantine requirements for passengers from European, North American and Asian countries and regions. The new measure makes it difficult for fully vaccinated cruise crew to join the voyage as originally planned.
