31st January 2023 – (Hong Kong) South Korean Prime Minister Han Duck-soo said on Tuesday that if the COVID-19 epidemic in China is under control, South Korea will consider lifting short-term visa restrictions on Chinese tourists before the end of February. Han Duck-soo hosted a press conference in Seoul today and said that with regards to the government’s decision to extend the short-term entry visa ban for Chinese tourists, he said that according to the test results of Chinese tourists entering South Korea, he still believes that it is still very cautious to consider whether to completely lift the restrictions.
He pointed out that if the situation is acceptable, the government may decide to lift the restrictions earlier.
