16th April 2019 – (Hong Kong) 3 South Asian men and 1 local man stormed into a mahjong club located on the 1st floor of 4, Mong Kok Road at 11pm yesterday. Two male staff who are brothers (aged 22 and 24 years old respectively) were assaulted by the 4 men with umbrellas and stools. The assailants then fled the scene. One of the brothers was subsequently sent to hospital after police arrived at the scene to investigate.
After police left the scene, the mahjong club continued its business and at around 2am today, the 60 year old father of the 2 male staff who is also a shareholder was slashed by 10 South Asian men with knives. His limbs sustained injuries and ambulance rushed him to hospital for treatment.
Initial investigations by police revealed that there is an ongoing dispute amongst the shareholders and the South Asian men were mercenaries hired to cause ruckus in the mahjong club.
