27th May 2023 – (Hong Kong) Early in the morning on May 27th, a South Asian man went to visit his estranged wife in an apartment located at 159-161 Ki Lung Street in Sham Shui Po. However, upon arriving, he discovered that his wife was staying with another local man. Enraged with jealousy, the South Asian got into an argument with both his wife and the local man. He then attacked them with a dustpan and a mop handle.
The two victims managed to escape and seek help from the authorities. Police officers arrived on the scene and subdued the South Asian man, who was subsequently arrested for assault. One of the victims required medical attention and was taken to the hospital via ambulance. However, he became agitated and kicked the ambulance door as he was being taken away. Both victims suffered injuries to their hands and feet and were taken to the hospital along with a young girl who was also present in the apartment during the incident.
