7th December 2022 – (Hong Kong) At about 10.50am today, a foreign was suspected of jumping off the platform at MTR Tai Wai Station and fell onto the railway track. The MTR announced ay 11.08am that the service of the East Rail Line was disrupted. Police arrived at the scene to investigate the incident. The victim was certified dead on the spot. He was a foreign man holding Recognizance Paper.

Base on past experience, MTR expects it will take around 45 to 60 minutes to handle this incident.
A free MTR shuttle bus service is being arranged and should be operating at affected station(s) around 45 minutes after the rail service suspension, depending on road traffic conditions as it will take time to organise. Passengers travelling for Tuen Ma Line can consider interchanging via Kwun Tong Line.
