28th July 2021 – (Tokyo) Olympic women’s 200-meter freestyle silver medal winner Siobhan Bernadette Haughey from Hong Kong competed again in the 100-metre freestyle preliminary round on Wednesday (28th). In the end, Haughey continued to perform well, swimming in 52.70 seconds, successfully breaking the Asian record held by Japanese Rikako Ikee (52.79 seconds) and the Hong Kong record held by herself. She won the second place in the heat and advanced to the semi-finals.
The semi-final will be held on Thursday (29th) in the morning at 9.53am Hong Kong time. After winning the silver medal in the 200-meter freestyle in the morning, Siobhan moved to the 100-meter freestyle in the evening to continue her strong performance.
