8th November 2019 – (Hong Kong) Netizens organised a ‘Go to work with you 2.0’ movement this morning to urge civilians to go to work on foot. Some gathered near Langham Place in Mong Kok and at around 7am, there were over 10 protesters clad in masks who were getting ready to march towards SOGO in TST.
At around 7.50am, two protesters held a placard to signal civilians at Exit E of Causeway Bay MTR Station to gather at Times Square before walking towards Sheung Wan. There were also another group who gathered at Victoria Park.
At 8.20am, around 100 civilians participated in the movement in Kwun Tong and Kowloon Bay respectively. Both groups shouted the five demands and other anti-government slogans.
At 8.30am, another 50 civilians walked from Tai Wai towards Sha Tin. Some left during the march with only 20 left who eventually reached Sha Tin MTR STation.
Some protesters also walked in TST and engaged in altercation with others who had political differences. At around 9am, riot police hoisted blue flag on Queen’s Road Central to warn protesters to disperse.
