Series of burglaries hit two eateries in Aberdeen

18th April 2024 – (Hong Kong) Authorities are investigating a string of burglaries that occurred in Aberdeen, Hong Kong. In the early hours of today (18th), at 3.53am, the main entrance of Cafe de Itamomo located at Shop 6A, G/F, Aberdeen Centre Site 5, 6-12 Nam Ning Street, was forcibly broken into. The cash register showed signs of being tampered with, prompting the security personnel to report the incident. Law enforcement officers promptly arrived at the scene and contacted the restaurant owner to assist with the investigation.

Preliminary calculations revealed that a tablet, seven mobile phones, and HK$1,000 in cash were missing. During the course of the investigation, it was discovered that a neighbouring eatery had also fallen victim to theft, losing approximately HK$1,000 in cash. The cases have been categorised as “burglaries” and no arrests have been made at this time.
