9th June 2023 – (Hong Kong) In recent days, a high-ranking bank executive has been implicated in a scandal and targeted by flyers that are being distributed around the city. The flyers accuse the man of adultery and sexual assault, branding him a “scumbag of the financial industry.”

The flyers, which feature a photo of the man and identify him as an area director at the bank, allege that he has been cheating on his wife and engaging in extramarital affairs. They go on to claim that he has repeatedly abused his power and sexually assaulted a female subordinate.

The flyers have been widely circulated, with many bank employees reportedly receiving them. Police have also been made aware of the issue, but have only received reports about the distribution of the flyers and not any specific allegations of sexual assault.

In addition to the flyers, emails have been sent to headhunting firms warning them about the man’s alleged behaviour. According to the emails, the man engaged in sexual assault, sexual harassment, and other inappropriate behaviour towards female colleagues while working in the Kowloon district. The emails claim that he would invite female colleagues to office parties, get them drunk, and then assault them.

Police have stated that they have not received any reports of sexual assault involving the man, and have only been made aware of the flyers and emails. However, they have not ruled out the possibility of further investigation if any specific allegations are made.

The bank in question has not publicly commented on the issue, but sources close to the matter have indicated that they are aware of the flyers and are investigating the matter internally. The bank has also reportedly advised its employees to ignore the flyers and not to share them with others.
