Self parking slippers and furniture in a brand new Japanese hotel

    - 1 MIN READ

A first of its kind avant-garde hotel, PropPILOT Park Ryokan has just opened  in Yokohama, Japan . The rooms have self parking slippers developed by Nissan that can park themselves at the entrance of the hotel at the push of a button. All the rooms  are also equipped with  self-parking tables and floor cushions. Don’t be fooled by the traditional design of the hotel, the slippers, tables and cushions are all equipped with a special version of Nissan’s ProPILOT Park autonomous parking technology.

First introduced in the all-new Nissan LEAF in Japan in October 2017, ProPILOT Park detects surrounding objects and lets drivers automatically park the vehicle in a selected parking space by pressing a button.

We hope in the near future Nissan can incorporate  the same technology into the furniture at our homes so that we don’t need to worry about our dining chairs, slippers, cushions being thrown around after a wild night of party.
