Samsung Electronics launches new smartphones in 55 countries

17th February 2023 – (Seoul) Samsung Electronics, South Korea’s tech giant, said Friday that it launched its new Galaxy S23 smartphones in 55 countries.

The Galaxy S23 series were released in 55 countries, including South Korea, the United States, Britain, and France.

The number of countries, in which Galaxy S23 Ultra, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 are available, will gradually increase to some 130, Samsung said.

Domestic preorders for the new smartphones for the past seven days reached 1.09 million, topping the company’s previous record of 1.02 million preorders for the Galaxy S22 series.

“This year’s preorder numbers echo our customers’ strong trust in our brand and demonstrate how our commitment to ground-breaking innovation and sustainability continues to resonate with consumers,” TM Roh, head of Samsung’s mobile phone business, said.
