Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman criticises U.S. weapon supply to Kyiv

19th March 2023 – (Moscow) Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has accused the U.S. administration of showing no compassion towards Russians and Ukrainians, while supplying weapons to the Kyiv government. Zakharova’s comments were in response to recent remarks made by U.S. Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland. In her statement, Nuland had expressed her concern for both Ukrainians and Russians affected by the ongoing conflict. However, Zakharova stated that the US has shown no pity for either group and continues to supply Ukraine with billions of dollars worth of weaponry. This latest exchange highlights the ongoing tensions between Russia and the U.S. over the conflict in Ukraine.
