7th June 2023 – (Moscow) The Togliatti-Odessa ammonia pipeline in the Kharkov region was blown up on Monday night by what the Russian Defense Ministry is calling a Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group. The ministry released a statement on Wednesday calling the explosion “a terrorist act” that has caused civilian victims.
The pipeline, which runs from the Russian city of Togliatti to the Ukrainian port of Odessa, is one of the world’s longest pipelines for ammonia transportation. Ammonia is currently bleeding from the damaged sections of the pipeline in Ukrainian territory, but there are no casualties among Russian military personnel.
Several explosions were heard near the ammonia pipeline in Kharkov region’s Kupyansk district, according to Russia’s TASS news agency.
