Restaurant worker injured as hand gets trapped in machinery in To Kwa Wan incident

19th June 2024 – (Hong Kong) A female worker suffered injuries when her hand became trapped in a piece of machinery at a restaurant located at 78 To Kwa Wan Road in To Kwa Wan district. The incident occurred at approximately 9.24am, prompting an immediate response from emergency services.

According to reports, the worker was engaged in food preparation when the accident transpired, leaving her hand severely injured and in excruciating pain. Despite the swift arrival of rescue personnel, they faced challenges in promptly freeing the worker from the machinery. As a result, a decision was made to transport both the injured worker and the machine to the hospital for further medical attention.
