Special Children’s Afternoon Tea Easter Top Plate

27th March 2020 – (Hong Kong) More than just chocolate, Easter is a rejuvenating invitation to feast on delicious seasonal food and make more memories with loved ones. Home of joy-giving things and unforgettable experiences, Fortnum’s has been fuelling the bellies and hearts of its customers for centuries – and so there’s no better place to enjoy Easter in Hong Kong this year.

Admittedly, the chocolate is a good place to start. Laid by talented chickens in Fortnum’s recently revamped confectionery department back home in Piccadilly, Fortnum’s Easter chocolate eggs for 2020 are nothing short of show-stopping.

Muscovado Caramel & Lemon Gull Eggs
Easter Tea HKD$248
Praline Eggs HKD$398

Muscovado Caramel & Lemon Gull Eggs are white chocolate filled with muscovado caramel or lemon fondant; Praline Eggs include six real hen egg shells that have been intricately hollowed, delicately painted gold, and filled to the brim with milk praline hazelnut chocolate – also available in Dark Chocolate Praline, painted duck egg blue, and filled with extremely chocolatey dark praline. Simply crack them as you would to a real egg and enjoy the delicious praline hidden inside. While a trio of extraordinary Milk Chocolate Matchbox Chickens are made from Dominican Republic chocolate – these chirpy chicks are hand-decorated and prove that good things certainly come in threes. Add another star to show – a collection of beautiful eggs hand-decorated and hand-painted in England, and it’s enough for an unforgettably sweet feast.

There is also a collection of Easter hampers and a seasonal Easter Tea. So anyone who has recently undertaken a successful spring clean should be fully prepared to fill their cupboards right up again.

The restaurant, 181 will be creating a special children’s afternoon tea Easter top plate, including a beautiful chocolate mousse presented in a chocolate half shell, a gold feultine with a selection of mini eggs, along with a raspberry pate de fruit, vanilla cake lollipop and the pièce de résistance, a chocolate-covered cupcake adorned with a large, white bunny rabbit shaped biscuit.
