Residents of Block A07 of Hong Mei House allowed to return home after showing no symptoms of coronavirus


15th February 2020 – (Hong Kong) All residents from Block A07 of Hong Mei House in Cheung Hung Estate in Tsing Yi who tested negative and did not develop symptoms for coronavirus are expected to return to their apartment today. Many cleaners in protective suits were seen disinfecting the building exterior this morning. LEUNG Kar-ming, the district councillor from Democratic Alliance for the Betterment and Progress of Hong Kong showed up today to give away hundreds of masks and hand sanitisers to residents of Hong Mei House.

Centre for Health Protection have evacuated around 101 residents from Block A07 of Hong Mei House on 11th February after 1 patient who lives on a separate floor from another patient was suspected to be infected with coronavirus via the waste pipe (U-traps). Coaches were arranged to send the residents home from Lady MacLehose Holiday Village at 11am today.
